Psychology Workshops and Retreats:

Adolescent MBSR Retreat “A Place to Chill and be Yourself”

MBSR Retreat will include: Participants will receive a retreat schedule at the beginning of the day, the retreat is 4 hours in duration. We will be learning and practicing the 7 mindfulness skills, listening to guided mindfulness mediations on emotions, thoughts and your body throughout the day. There will be reflection time for journaling and we will integrate formal and informal mindfulness practices such as mindful eating, breathing and walking practices throughout the retreat.

The retreat will be offering brief instruction and facilitated discussion on topics on: the stress response, personal coping styles and concepts such as acceptance, willingness, wisdom, balance, “almost moments”, not knowing and focusing your full attention. This retreat is particularly helpful for adolescents that want to improve focus, awareness, reduce anxiety, stress and enjoy life more or are facing divorced parents, friend, medical or school problems. Please bring a sack lunch and pillow, a light snack and drinks will be provided.

 

Dates: Retreats are on “pause” due to Covid, you can request to be on a waitlist

Rates: $75 for 1 or $125 for 2 Adolescents (sibling or friend)
