Standard Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT skills help to improve relationships, manage emotions, increase self-awareness and cope with distress. These skills are for pre-teens, teens, parents and adults who have difficulty managing their emotions, have impulsive behaviors and an under-controlled style of coping.

DBT skills help to replace problem behaviors with more skillful ones that work both short-term and long-term. The DBT skills program is offered as a 12-week series for pre-teens (9-12yrs) and 16-week series for adolescents (13-18yrs) and a 24-week series for adults (18yrs+) without high-risk behaviors (hospital, suicide attempt, or self-harm) in the last 3 months. This is offered for client’s with mild to moderate levels of anxiety, depression, and individuals with strong emotions and impulsive behaviors. Parent’s are required to attend with their child or teen to reinforce the DBT skills at home.

Adult DBT skills (Ages 18+): 24 weeks

Adolescent DBT skills (Ages 13-18): 16 weeks

Pre-teen DBT skills (Ages 9-12): 12 weeks
